wise woman

We are like sculptors, constantly carving out of others the image we long for, need, love or desire, often against reality, against their benefit, and always, in the end, a disappointment, because it does not fit them. ~ Anais Nin

apologies + poem, story or novel?

sorry about the site going away. thx to the thoughtful reader who reminded me. smile.

also, these lines came to me the other day in the magic tub of ideas... and being so busy with business decisions, i wanted to offer YOU, the reader, a chance to decide if they should be turned into a poem, a story, a novella or even just scrapped entirely.

here's the words...

Many years hence, the moon densely populated with human workers who sculpted the virtual universe for the humans back on earth.

book nearing completion, poetry leaking out...

around 30k words to go it's looking like.

Partly Sunny with a chance of poetry is the outlook for the next week or so? Not sure how fast or slow this last little push is going to go.

the accidental

just found them tonight...these are all i could find on playlist, though.

warty bliggens, the toad

By Don Marquis, in "archy and mehitabel," 1927

i met a toad
the other day by the name
of warty bliggens
he was sitting under
a toadstool
feeling contented
he explained that when the cosmos
was created
that toadstool was especially
planned for his personal
shelter from sun and rain
thought out and prepared
for him

frightened rabbit

if you haven't heard this band yet, check them out. they're gonna blow up, i bet, and get super popular. at which time i'll have to continue my quest for little known good music. heh.

hello, jaymo

good to see ya.

moving server

I'm going to be switching servers soon so that the site moves a lot faster. Might pop down for a bit, but should be back shortly. Long live poetry...

search is broke

heh. so much for a brand spanking new site. ergo is on a cheapie server at the moment, so i have to come up with a workaround for the search because of a mysql problem...

thanks,

kpaul
