Returning to Writing Poetry

I have been involved with Mr. Mallasch and his poetry websites since I discovered MUGround several years ago. I enjoyed posting poems and writing comments with my fellow members. For the last several years, I haven't written a word of poetry. So I had nothing to contribute to this new one. From time to time, I would sit down and write and scribble out some truly horrible crap. It just wasn't in me anymore. Last week, after an incredibly tough 2008, I sat down and wrote two new poems. The two i posted. I don't know if they live up to the standards of everyone on this site and i wouldn't want them to. I just knew that I felt what I wrote. It came from all the shit I went through over the last year. I missed it. I truly did.
I hope this means all the things that brought out the creativity in me years ago has returned. I hope it means there are good things to come. I hope it means I will build some strong writing friendships again.
