Goonight Moon

I was sitting patiently, waiting for you to show up and sit beside me.

(please come sit beside me)

But you never came.
I glanced to the right, and there it was
the biggest, orange moon I had ever seen. I gasped out loud,
right there in front of everyone. I had never seen such a sight.

I called to you, \"Look at the moon!\"
But you couldn't (or wouldn't) hear me.

So I sat and watched it rise over the trees.

It seemed to shrink in that last hour.
And it turned from orange

to white.

Then the mosquitos started attacking my skin
and I had to go inside.

My patience decided to wait on the bench.

I am not sure how long it waited before it got tired and slipped into the lake.
