THE ORDERS OF LIFE

Born into this world,
Of another’s choice
Coming of age,
Through an elder’s voice.

Many summers must pass,
Before you may choose,
If it be better to win,
Or better to lose.

Even when the choices,
Are ours to make,
Someone’s giving orders,
That everyone must take.

No place on Earth,
Is a man truly free.
Orders will be given,
And followed by thee.

For as long as we live,
Till the day we die,
Orders we must take,
We can only ask why.
