tender night
the insecurities
of the moon
for only feeling
half there
are comforted
by your quiet
stillness
and though
I know
I should rest
every part
of me stirs
there's such electricity
in peace
and all that's possible
for the black sky
slate to write upon
and my story
is not so different
from all before
and those who
will follow
so surely we are tied
this tender night...

yes
"such electricity in peace"
great line.
This is sweet and slow and soft.
Last line
The last stanza did it for me. I liked the poem over all but that last stanza just slammed it home.
thank you
Ana, thanks for pointing out that line and for the feedback.
Kerouac, I'm actually very very pleased to hear that the last stanza slammed it home because that's a preference of mine to build up to the kaboom at the end. The last stanza or line in most of mine have that goal and I am happy to hear you saw it in this one! thanks for this. and for reading of course.
