Embrace

I’m holding
You
Can you feel me?
I’m whispering
Your name
Can you hear me?
I’m kissing your soft lips
Can you taste me?
I know
The truth
But won’t
You lie to me
Just this once
Tell me we shared
Something
Even if it wasn’t
An embrace

I hear you! I feel you!!!
and if she doesn't, she's a fool. good works. good works.
Sometimes our souls ache and cry out to the universe for some kind of sign that we are heard.
Sometimes the reasons that the answers don't come to us in the form that we desired or expected will perplex us.
Still, it's living to have a voice and to use it with such intensity. Congrats.
the universe hears you.

Funny you speak of fools as the first poem I ever wrote her was something about a harlequin. While I am appreciative of being heard it still seems to hurt too much that I cannot have what I have searched so long for but have settled instead. But hey it makes some decent poetry right...
that's right
inspiration comes from the most unexpected places...
yes
it makes for amazing poetry... sigh..
yes
Thanks much Ana, I really appreciate you dropping by to read my stuff, especially the comments.
