On love

Perhpaps instead
of love saving me
i somehow feel i'm
trying to save love,
let people know it is
difficult, but the love
your neighbor bit really
makes a lot of sense when
you sit down and actually
think about it.

On love roaming from home to home;
Do you speak of love garnered from
hollywood when you talk of love or
do you speak from personal experience
of love and love lost and love foregone,
conclusionary - cautionary tales of love
never found let alone lost.

when speaking of love can any two of us
really truly mean entirely the same thing?
hate is easy and does give you a rush and
i must admit i fall prey to the dark feelings
every now and then - but i remember that love,
while more difficult (especially those you
consider 'enemies') is more in tune with
the way i see the world when i look
through poetic lenses. so sue me
for wanting to see the better
behind our current predicament -

on love or lust - questions of mistrust,
delusionary tactics - if love is valued
and a score kept is it indeed love? - or
do i as a poet not even see what love is
to any besides me and that my view on it
may be skewed and/or not viewed in every
way
the same.

on whether or not love w/out trust is doable
or desirable or something one should bear
out, as if forever and a day actually
meant forever and a day in a way not
necessarily the same but somehow
similar to other necessities.
