poetry is useless

poetry is useless for
the majority of the
people on the
planet.

and yet for me it's
mana, meat and
potatoes, nourishment.

like anything, though, if
you have too much of it
you tire of it - it loses its
ability to excite or soothe.

poetry is use-
less, full of
shit tricks
w/words
don't cut it
in the real
world and
that's where
all the people
are - not out here
in magical realms
that don't really exist.

dark alleys of time -
people as ideas
pop out from
nooks and
crannies.

poetry is useless
but it's what i have.
