BP #4: domestic
should i tell too many
i'm writing a book before
it's finished?
so, there i was, in the
convention center
yet again,
this time
for another
reason, a volunteered
event.
not working,
working, not
working, or
working...
hordes of kids from
4th thru 12th schools
in the morning, afternoon,
and then an hour or so to
print out some one sheets
for the evening version
with adults instead of
children - many diff
classes of people
looking for jobs,
i imagined who i
would hire.
one man, imparticular,
who had worked in the peace corps.
simple, clean cut farm boy. had the
number of sow he had under his control
on his resume. said at one point that
he had helped drill an oil well, and
still couldn't get a job... sad, very
sad. nothing i could do at the moment
for him either. continue rattling off
my tirade about seeking employment online,
changing the tone and pitch depending on
the audience - and i'm going to fail speech
class this semester (again even)... dropping
the magic word i knew the other person in the
booth wanted to hear. here i go again, wondering
out loud occasionally that we'd recently let go
a number of people.
lots of traffic on the big G mail list today -
very interesting, informative.
ok, let work go, in a way,
try to stay in focus with
the character composites
of who i am melted on the
page like wax still warm
and pliable.
after
begin
again
aft, er,
be \"Gin\",
a gain.
