starship

welcome to the starship
writing words on the walls
of the halls while passing
quickly to tend to the many
holes and save points on
the moon before mars or
beyond - the starship arcs
or somehow sparks across
this universe and this one
verse was cursed upon his
soul - one way to go - let the
words flow - pennies per
word - the starship goes.

enterprising situations
tight lines, complex diction
so small, so light, tripping
from star light to star bright
avoiding black holes and
spots devoid of energy to
continue the spiral toward
the boundaries of all that
is known and on and on
it goes as the hours add
up and work pays off and
the starship roars to life
as the entire cosmos
bows to the bow of
the ship as in the
king of the word
without an L
that one
word -
the blur
warp drive
drive by with
long lines, and
short lines and ipad
length lines of photos
and word images that
cause the stars to go
out in brilliant displays
of gas and energy and
the starship flows on
the road that is unseen
and the waves that bend
like light then twist and
become something
other than. and other
than the occasional
periods of silence
and not seeing the
marvelous sights,
this whole starship
life isn't as bad as i
once perhaps pre-
tended it was as i
tended to the star-
ship on the moon,
preparing to take
off and explore the
world i knew always
existed out there
somewhere and
somewhere in
here there is
something
written on
one of the
walls in one
of the halls that
somehow or other
describes my feelings
as the propulsion of star
dust driving star dust to the
outer crust of all that is known
and not known commences and
somehow continues at the same
time.
