the mysteries of poetry
something similar and yet different.
something is happening.
something is out there,
laughing and listening,
or vice versa - the ot
-her way around a stat
-ionary object is vis-
ionary only if reflect
-ed.
editor's comments when
there is no real true
editor perhaps a laugh
and a giggle and a jolly
good time and yet at the
end of the day ... maybe
i just miss the newsroom;
the characters, the atmo-
sphere, the tired eyes
in there pulling together
to get yesterday's news
to tomorrow's third grade
readers, with plenty of
pictures and ads and now
i can't remember where the
poem is in this point plotted
out before, or recognized and
approved of - outside time ...
the mysteries of poetry are that
it is different to you and to me
even though i may try to give you
one thing you will undoubtedly walk
away with another.
