autumn chill
not sure
exactly
what it
is about
the season,
the time of year
when the leaves
turn and the air
turns colder and
maybe it's connected
to the first strong
feelings of love, of
connection that i felt -
the time of year those
original feelings happened.
and now,
this time
of year
as the
day
gets
shorter
and shorter
and the wind
colder and colder,
i feel twinges of
love, of that
feeling.
attached to songs.
attached to smells.
attached to food.
attached.
seasons too.
and after autumn,
winter. or death.
feelings of losing
someone, of losing
that love whether real
or imagined.
long walks
lost in thought.
not running but
walking, usually
with eyes fixed on
the ground, the
next step so
that in my
mind i can
delve deeper
and dive into
feelings and
thoughts while
not having to worry
about tripping over an
upturned block of cement
pushed up by a tree root.

dig.
simple little masterpiece i
can utterly relate to. feeling
of emptiness hinted at, by something,
i don't know, the linebreaks?--can't
quite put my finger on it, which is how
i like it.
fall...
fall
fall......
this is dang good, you.
I concur!! v. good. wow: and
I concur!! v. good.
wow:
and after autumn,
winter. or death.
and love that ending.
thanks.
thanks.
I AGREE
This is one of my all time faves from you, mister! WHOO HOO. I feel the same glorious way this time of year. Melancholy baby. Breathe in that crisp biting air....ahhhh...liberation and longing. What good companions.
