space beyond the moon
the string theory study
paid off in the end as i
was able to find a way
to nudge myself into
the fifth dimension
as a way to escape
the moon. for a time
anyway. i still seem
to have a link to the
moon in the third
dimension via
the fourth -
which is,
of course,
time.
so the messages
are sent back, but
i explore this strange
new dimension with
cautious hesitation,
a sense of exhilerat-
ion as an ion inhales
the universe and wraps
itself back onto itself (via
the seventh dimension, as
far as i can tell.) and that ion
changes to an eon with a tiny
flip of a letter represenation.
out here the stars still expand
and i head to the edge of all
that's known. when i get to
the edge of the universe
will i pop through to
another or, like a
mobius strip,
curl back onto
myself and end
up back on the moon?
stay tuned as our
intrepid time
travelling
poet
next
time
finds
favor &
fervor for
four more
cycles...

cool, heavy.
cool, heavy.
Has a very retro, semi-camp
Has a very retro, semi-camp 50s feel to it. Is that what you were going for?
I guess the "strange new dimension" and the "stay tuned..." monologue.
None of this is a BAD thing, I just wanna make sure I'm on the same page, or in the same dimension as you...:)
thanks, mike
not sure what i was going for. part of a continuing series about the moon... (still working on making it easier maybe to create 'books' or collections of your poems...
anyway, yeah, i can see you getting camp from it.
welcome back, btw.
wow. perhaps my fav. of all
wow. perhaps my fav. of all of yours. how do you keep the read flowing w/ the line-breaks like that?--i don't think i could pull that off. anyway, the piece was very cool, using the endless possibilies of prose to your benefit. sweet.
