december rain

no snow,
not yet,
here in
the mid-
west, a
little
north
moreso
than
south,
the wind
tosses
the tree
limbs back
and forth and
the cloads streak
and cover the sky -
no snow but the mud
is all around, you
can hardly escape
it, and me wishing
it would freeze
so i could walk
on it w/out getting
muddy.
