Apollo 12

this was the mission
(to the moon) that was
almost aborted as some
instrument or another began
to malfunction. the memory and
an obscure computer command saved
the day and they landed on the moon, the
second such group to do so.

the second lunar landing party dropped on the
Ocean of Storms as it's known on the moon.

apollo 12 had color cameras to catch the scene
whereas apollo 11 only had monochrome.
Alan Bean, the lunar pilot, pointed the
camera directly into the sun, though,
ruining it. (i kid you not.)
