Hope

Always room for it
if you can handle it
'cause it's hard to
hold onto it once
it starts flying to
realms of fantasy
to hold up what you
want to believe about
love and other mysteries.

Hope, please.
Anew. Renew.
Release. Hope.

Once it's gone, though,
it's almost twice as hard
to catch it the second or
even third or fourth time,
progressively more difficult
to have and to hold Hope.

There's always hope for hope,
though, like a chance of showers
or a chance of sun and blue, and as
you know, it's hard to predict too far in
advance the weather, let alone whether or
not hope for hope can help you cope as it does
me.
