yeah, junko's are birds, known for their distinctive trill. Hay(na)ku is a newly invented form of poetry, in this form (with no further restrictions) first line: one word. second line: two words. third line: three words. I spent most of today trying to write another one. no success. if you have high standards, six words is an awfully difficult challenge.

in my opinion, these are all three fantastic, but if i were to choose i think i'd go w/ the last one. "saltmarsh," though, has got to be one of the most incredible words i've ever read. sorry if i'm sounding patronizing, but everything you've written lately has genuinely excited me
You don't sound patronizing, and I'm flattered. I think the goal in poetry, for me anyway, is that it has to be exciting. The how-to of getting there, though, is always a frustrating mystery. That's why I haven't been able to come up with any more of these little three-liners!
