Psalm 103 (an update)

Praise the Free Market, O my soul;
All my inmost being, praise Its holy name.

Praise the Free Market, O my soul,
And forget not all Its benefits -

What forgives all your sins
And heals all your diseases,

What redeems your life from the pit
And crowns you with love and compassion,

What satisfies your desires with good things
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

The Free Market works righteousness
And justice for all the oppressed.

It made known Its ways to Milton Friedman,
Its deeds to the people of America:

The Free Market is compassionate and gracious,
Slow to anger, abounding in love.

It will not always accuse,
Nor will It harbor Its anger forever;

It does not treat us as our sins deserve
Or repay us according to our iniquities.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is Its love for those who fear It;

As far as the east is from the west,
So far has It removed our transgressions from us.

As a father has compassion on his children,
So the Free Market has compassion on those who fear It.

For It knows how we are formed,
It remembers that we are dust.

As for man, his days are like grass,
He flourishes like a flower of the field;

The wind blows over him and he is gone,
And his place remembers him no more.

But from everlasting to everlasting
The Free Market's love is with those who fear It,

And Its righteousness
With their children's children -

With those who keep Its covenant
And remember to obey Its precepts.

The Free Market has established Its throne on earth,
And Its kingdom rules over all.

Praise the Free Market, you Its angels, you mighty ones
Who do Its bidding, who obey Its word.

Praise the Free Market, all you corporate entities,
You Its servants who do Its will.

Praise the Free Market, all Its works
Everywhere in Its dominion.

Praise the Free Market,
O my soul.
