heaven

if you've ever seen the movie
field of dreams
you'll see that what they're getting at is
heaven will be
whatever you want to do--
so if you want to play baseball
with the greats
you'll play baseball
with the greats;
if you want to hang upside-down
from a cloud eating
fried rice
you could do that
although
i can't imagine
anyone's holy desire
it to eat fried rice
from a table which hangs...
upside-down...
but then again, why not?
i know i have a pretty
wild imagination,
and i expect there to be
cartoon crows
who eat corn on the cob
in typewriter fashion.
