This is it. And I jumped.
I spread my arms and legs out so I looked like an \"X\"
falling from the sky. Falling. Skin around eyesockets
pushed back. The thrill.

She lay like a goddamn angel, her face and skin and
everything glowing. This is the girl I've loved so long.
The girl this is the girl.
The sun exploding outside our window. Doves being
released.

I roll over on my back and hit the ground. Breathing is
euphoric. Drifting down, and falling over me gently is my
parachute.
