we were young
and ignorant WE'VE COME
before we really knew
each other at all
how we were so different and WAY TOO FAR
how the stars revolved around us,
out at night
at Newell's TO FORGET
in the parking lot
for no reason other than HOW WONDERFUL
to get away IT FEELS
and you did ballet on the asphalt
as I smiled and smoked TO BE IN LOVE
